Water Main Repairs in Mamaroneck Cause Shutdown

Due to repairs on a water main, certain parts of the Town of Mamaroneck will not have water service through 6 p.m.

If you live in the Town of Mamaroneck, you may be without water for part of the day according to a notice posted on the Westchester Joint Water Works' (WJWW) website.

Due to water main work and valve repairs, there will be water service shutdown from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the following areas: Myrtle Boulevard from Chatsworth Avenue to Madison Avenue; Madison Avenue from Lafayette Road to Myrtle Boulevard; Fifth Avenue from Lester Place to Madison Avenue; Lester Place; Byron Place; Verella Estates; Maxwell Avenue; and Washington Square.

Residents may notice discoloration in their water after the repairs have been completed. The notice advises running cold water in the lowest level of your home for a few minutes until it runs clear.  If water is discolored, do not use hot water or do laundry.
