In addition to gaining recognition for individual members’ achievements, Mamaroneck High School received awards for its success as a chapter. Mamaroneck received its state ranking through the Chapter of the Year competition, and now stands as the #1 school in the state of New York.
Paul-Adrien Morange was elected to hold the office of New York State Reporter for the 2014-2015 year. After several days of vigorous campaigning, a landslide vote ensured that Mamaroneck High School would have yet another member holding mainline state office, for the third year in a row.
This State Leadership Conference also saw an end to the electoral terms of Ken Pomeranz, previous State Reporter, and Adam Nissinoff, State Executive Vice-President. Both members received acclaim and recognition for their diligence and hard work while in office.
Mamaroneck FBLA reaches out in appreciation to the adult chaperones and advisers that made the conference a success. Chapter Adviser Maria Siciliano, along with chaperones Keith Yizar and Jigar Jadav, were instrumental in ensuring the success of each individual member in his/her competitions.
Seven members of the MHS Computer Science Club, led by Jigar Jadav, accompanied Mamaroneck FBLA to Rochester. FBLA Advisor Maria Siciliano was proud to lead her 40 students to a record-setting performance at States for a second year in a row. The top three finalists now go on to compete against the rest of the country at the National Leadership Conference, which will be held this year in Nashville, Tennessee June 28 –July 3.
