Super Bowl Sunday in Larchmont and Mamaroneck

Where to go for grub this Sunday.

Even if you're not a sports fan, the Super Bowl draws many into its clutches.  Last year, 111.3 million people tuned in to watch the New York Giants face off against the New England Patriots.

Although not all of us will be in New Orleans watching the Baltimore Ravens play the San Francisco 49ers, here are a few local joints where you can take advantage of Super Bowl specials this Sunday, Feb. 3:

  1. Roasted Peppers - For $20 per person, a special Super Bowl Sunday buffet will include typical game day fare like ribs, sliders, guacamole, wings, potato salad, meatballs and quesadillas.  Happy Hour begins at 5 p.m.
  2. Sherwood's Restaurant - If you'll be catching the game from home, try this Larchmont locale for take-out options like the $22 bowl of 25 "Sherwood's famous wings" that includes celery and blue cheese; a "Daddy"-sized portion of Bertha's baby back ribs for $22; or a BBQ chicken combo for $20. Orders can be placed Sunday morning at 11 a.m. by calling 914-833-3317.
  3. Chat 19 - Check out the game on Chat's 90" HD screen.  The Super Bowl festivities begin at 6 p.m. with a $20 buffet and drink specials.
  4. Molly Spillane's - A favorite bar for sports fans, Molly Spillane's has 16 TVs throughout the restaurant that will be tuned into the Super Bowl this Sunday. Menu items incude wings with seven kinds of sauce (buffalo, BBQ, Red Devil, garlic & herb, teriyaki, honey chipotle and sweet chili); nachos, onion rings and sliders. And, if you stop by for lunch, you can get a free Bloody Mary, courtesy of Murph from Murph's Famous Bloody Mary Mix
