Reader's Choice: Best Restaurant in Larchmont-Mamaroneck (On Someone Else's Tab)

What restaurant would you choose if money were no object?

Larchmont and Mamaroneck certainly have no shortage of appealing places to grab a quick bite or savor a longer, drawn out meal. The real difficulty—and some would say it's a good problem to have—is choosing one restaurant out of a lengthy list of options, while taking cost, preferences and atmosphere into consideration.

Is your preference Italian, Greek, Middle Eastern, French, Peruvian or American food? Are you a cheap date or do you like to be wined and dined?

This week's Reader's Choice poll asks you to choose the restaurant you'd like to go to if someone else was paying the tab (and making the reservations). Feel free to suggest alternatives in the comments section if we've missed one of your favorites.

Feel free to review the restaurants that you have gone to by clicking on the higlighted names above.

Voting in the poll below is open until 9 a.m. Friday. Ties will be broken by whichever location has the most positive comments in the section below. We will announce the winner at noon Friday. Contest rules are attached and can be viewed by clicking to the right of this article.

This is a really tough one. We are blessed to have such a variety of very good restaurants in our area. If I had to choose though, it would be Lusardi's!

By the way, there was a positive write-up on Hash-O-Nash in these weekend's New York Times.

Thanks for all your comments. I've added the missing items to the poll—the list of restaurants is becoming quite lengthy!

Vintage 1891 is my favorite! Ever since Chef, Jesus, created a new menu, the food is incredible! There is an extensive wine list and delicious cocktails. It is a great place for romantic dinners or even just a girls/guys night out! LOVE it! :)

Plates has always and always will be the best, most creative, and use the best materials.
But how could it not be having C.I.A. And Cordon Blue trained Chefs? They are on top of their game. I love the benefits of eating locally and really respect Chef Matthew Karp for working with top european and American chefs including Daniel Boulud, David Bouley, and David Burke. Impressive!!!!!! Ricotta Milk Cream Butter to find out chef Matthew Karp worked for some of the top European and American chefs including David Bouley, and Daniel Boulud.
