Park on Patch Comes to Mamaroneck Saturday

There will be free parking on Saturday, Dec. 3, on Mamaroneck Avenue in the Village of Mamaroneck. What are you waiting for? Come on out to do your holiday shopping!

With the arrival of the holidays comes a certain kind of stressful anticipation involved with shopping for gifts: Long lines, crowded malls and a lack of parking are enough to frustrate anyone. Why not shop locally and support community businesses?

Luckily, Patch has the parking covered for Saturday, Dec. 3, from 9 a.m.–6 p.m. on Mamaroneck Avenue in the Village of Mamaroneck. Park at a meter with a green “Park on Patch” bag on it and you don’t need to worry about hunting for quarters in the nooks and crannies of your car before you hit the shops.

Stop by and meet the Patch team, who will have a table set up on 270 Mamaroneck Ave. near Palmer Avenue, where they’ll also be giving out Patch gear that can be put in your windshield for two hours of free parking.

In addition to free parking, there are deals to be had at local merchants who have partnered with Patch. Check out for a 20 percent discount off a new pair of shades and or for 10 percent off lunch (don’t forget to mention that Patch sent you).

And, if that’s not enough to whet your appetite, how about a free gourmet cookie from or a free cup of coffee from ? We thought you’d like the free part.

There will also be prizes from local businesses raffled off.

So, we hope to see you all on Saturday, Dec. 3, for some holiday shopping in Mamaroneck — just imagine how relaxing the weeks preceding Christmas will be if you get all your shopping done early!
