The release below was submitted by Collins Brothers' PR agency.

Collins Brothers Moving Corp., an agent of one of the nation’s leading movers Atlas Van Lines, announces that its moving agency has been selected as the 2013 Moving and Storage Agent of the Year by the American Moving and Storage Association (AMSA), the national trade association for the professional moving industry. The AMSA Moving and Storage Agent of the Year Service Excellence award is given to van line agents who are committed to impressive customer service assessments, leadership, innovation, community involvement and activities that enhance the industry’s image.

Collins Brothers Moving Corp. has been an Atlas Van Lines agent for 37 years and is headquartered in Larchmont, N.Y. with another location in Dulles, Virginia. The company first opened its doors in 1910 with a horse and wagon. Today, Collins Brothers has more than 300 pieces of equipment and 275 employees. Collins Brothers handles domestic household goods moves, some international operations, hospitality installations, commercial moves and final mile home deliveries for designers and stores.

“On behalf of the employees and professional van operators of Collins Brothers, I am honored to receive this most prestigious award,” said Frank Webers, CEO of Collins Brothers. “It is our staff of professionals that have made this possible.”

The van line agent is consistently recognized with industry awards and honors from Atlas Van Lines. For example, Collins Brothers is a 16-time winner of the Milton M. Hill Quality Award – which recognizes the company’s outstanding performance ratings in customer satisfaction – given annually by Atlas Van Lines, among other awards. As a result of their outstanding moving services, Collins Brothers attained at least a 90 percent favorable response when customers were asked if they would again choose the agency’s services.

In addition to high-quality service to its customers, Collins Brothers immerses itself in community involvement and giving back.  The company recently contributed trailers and packing materials to help send relief items to Hurricane Sandy victims, and donated drivers and trucks to the American Red Cross in Manhattan after the Sept. 11 attacks.

“For more than 100 years, Collins Brothers has built its business around first-class service, and Atlas is honored to have them as part of our agent family,” said Glen Dunkerson, chairman and CEO of Atlas Van Lines. “Collins Brothers produces exceptional results year after year, and earning one of AMSA’s top awards is well-deserved. We look forward to having Collins Brothers continue to represent both Atlas and its brand by providing nothing short of high-quality service.”
