VIDEO: After Busy First Weekend, New Business Looks Ahead to Grand Opening

They specialize in bagels, but also offer coffee, sandwiches, soup and more.

, located at the corner of Routes 6 and 22 in the Village of Brewster, is exactly what the area needed — at least that's what customers are saying.

Owners Joe Khader and Nasser Aqeel opened the cafe's doors last weekend after months of preparations. They say they've seen several repeat customers since, and the shop isn't even complete yet: they're still waiting on a mural and menus.

But in the meantime, Khader and Aqeel are encouraging folks to swing by for a fresh bagel, panini or some soup. Coffee lovers may invest in a large travel mug for $9.99, and enjoy 99-cent refills thereafter (they are usually $2).

The shop offers order-at-the counter service, with tables and WiFi. Check out the video above for more, and check back with Southeast-Brewster Patch for details on the cafe's Dec. 1 grand-opening celebration.

Came early in the morning to grab and go, very fast and sufficient great customer service, bagels were delicious, almost turned back to grab another but would’ve been late to work, definitely going to be a regular here.. Good luck to the owners!

Thanks so much for coming to the Village. The Bowl Company looks forward to a lot of breakfast and lunches from The Bagel Shop!

I couldn't agree more! I'm really looking forward to spending more of my time here and less of it at Starbucks in Carmel.
