Larchmont Arts Festival Draw Big Crowd

Artists sold their work at the fee- and commission-free festival.

Artists in Larchmont and Mamaroneck brought out their works or the 11th annual Larchmont Arts Festival Saturday.

Held under beautifully sunny skies in Constitution Park on Larchmont Avenue, the festival featured 70 artists.

Organizer Carey Federspiel said the media for sale at the show ran the gamut from oil paint to ceramics to photographs.

"There are even two elementary school students selling jewelry," she said.

Setting up a table at the festival was free to the artists and there was no commission.

Federspiel said the only requirement was that whatever was being sold had to have been created by the artists.

She said the number of artists selling at this year's festival was down slightly from last year, but the nice weather made up for it.

This was a much bigger festival in terms of attendance, Federspiel said.
