Rye Town Park Open Reception for Tobey Sculpture Show October 22

Rye Town Park will open an exhibition of David Tobey's welded steel sculpture by the Pond on Saturday afternoon, October 22nd from 2-4 p.m. with a reception for the artist. The party will feature live music by KirkMusic Productions of Westchester's jazz quartet, "The Pink and Green Cafe"; complimentary refreshments and free parking for all guests.

In addition to the artwork and live music, the park, with a Long Island Sound beachfront and over 20 acres of landscaped paths and lawns is a great place to view the fall foliage,  predicted to be at its height the third week in October, and to spend a few hours with free musical entertainment and in teh company ofmany people in the arts & music.

The exhibition at the park will run through November 17th, and a portion of any proceeds from the sale of sculpture will benefit The Friends of Rye Town Park. More information on the event can be found on the artist's web site at http://www.davidtobey.com, or by calling him at (914) 632-8226. This is an event that would be worth the travel up from the Larchmont/Mamatoneck area, and all are cordially invited to join us.
