This is the second “A Day in the Life of Larchmont” photo exhibit. The first was organized twenty years ago, in the spring of 1991, by Lynne Crowley to mark the centennial of the Village of Larchmont.

Now the archivist of the Larchmont Historical Society, Crowley felt it was time to re-visit the event. “We’re excited to create an exhibit which will not only help to record our local history, but will also showcase some of the creative talent of our residents,” she says. “We hope to document a ‘snapshot in time’ in the history of Larchmont.”

Photographers can submit up to ten photographs focusing on public or domestic life, work, school, play and iconic Larchmont images.

Says Crowley, “This program was enthusiastically received by the community twenty years ago, and I hope that we will have the same level of enthusiasm and participation in 2011.”
