“Into the Light” an exhibition of oil paintings by Lynne Barnes Leahy opens at the Mamaroneck Artists Guild on Tuesday, October 23, 2012. Landscapes, seascapes, people, the local color the Long Island Sound and other seaside communities are depicted in this exhibition of new works on display through Saturday, November 10, 2012.
“What excites me the most is capturing an exact moment in time – the waves crashing on the beach, the storm cloud rolling in, the late afternoon sun peeking through the trees on the golf course,” says Leahy. “By stepping ‘into the light’ of the more dramatic parts of the day, I see paintings everywhere!”
The public is invited to meet Ms. Leahy at a reception for the artist on Saturday, October 27, 2012, from 3-5 p.m.
