Edgar Allan Poe's Literary Classics at Larchmont Woman's Club

Edgar Allan Poe’s Literary Classics

at Larchmont Woman’s Club

September 22, 2011 -- Jean McCabe and Bill Kozy, creative Westchester performers known as “The Footlights,” will present some of the classic works of the master of the macabre, Edgar Allan Poe, on October 21 at the Larchmont Woman’s Club.  Their innovative performance of  “The Raven” and “The Tell-Tale Heart” will be set in an old-fashioned radio station with the ominous sound effects in full view.  The poignant rhythms of “Annabelle Lee” will be intensified with music and dance. Poe, in his 40 short years, was a poet, novelist, short story writer, playwright, editor, and literary critic. He has been in print since 1827 and is widely acclaimed to be the inventor of the modern detective story and an innovator in the science fiction genre.
