Aesthetic Archeology—Uncovering Your Home’s History

The Larchmont Historical Society will be hosting a panel discussion featuring noted professionals from the historical preservation field on Sunday, November 6th, from 4:00-6:00PM at Fordyce Cottage, 20 Maple Avenue in Larchmont. 

Please join us as the LHS panel offers advice on how to restore your home and highlight its best features, with period-appropriate design, colors and landscaping for today’s modern family.

Susan Emery -  Long standing LHS board member and former Annual House Tour Chair, Susan is a historic home renovation consultant.  She holds a degree in Art History from Dartmouth College and a MA in the History of the Decorative Arts, Design and Culture from the Bard Graduate Center in NYC.

Debra Kling – Holds a degree in the Arts from Mount Holyoke College, as well as an advanced degree from Columbia.  Debra is a Certified Color Specialist, credentialed by The Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC.

Gina Samarotto – Formally trained in horticulture and design through Cornell University,  Gina is the founder and principal designer for The Samarotto Group, with two decades of landscape and interior design experience.

Pamela Washington – Is the owner of Washington Restoration Ltd., a local construction firm which has worked on many historic homes in the area.  Pam graduated from Brown University with concentrations in Psychology and Architectural History.
