Open for a little less than a week, the new and improved Mamaroneck Public Library is a long-awaited addition to the community. Susan Benton, library director, highlighted several features of the new library including a bustling Children's Room and historic Reading Room with 70-year old restored murals of Mamaroneck.
"We can see things in them that you really couldn't see before," she explained.
Patrons of the library are equally impressed. One woman, said Benton, said she felt like she should be paying admission to enter and another man said the library had "hit a home run."
