The Westchester Chapter of Room to Read hosted "An Evening with John Wood" at the Emelin Theatre on Feb. 28 to celebrate the recent book release of Room to Read's Founder John Wood, entitled Creating Room to Read: A Story of Hope in the Battle for Global Literacy.
Over 150 people attended this event where television broadcast journalist/anchor Kiran Chetry interviewed Wood on stage about his new book as well as the rewards and challenges of transforming his start-up global, non-profit into an award-winning organization that recently received the highest rating, for the seventh year in a row, from Charity Navigator in its annual non-profit rankings.
