Register Now for the Larchmont Scarecrow Festival

There will be two days set aside to pick up the scarecrow frame.

From the Larchmont Public Library:

Registration is now underway for the Third Annual Larchmont Scarecrow Festival sponsored by the Friends of the Larchmont Public Library. To participate in this year’s festival, registration must be completed by Saturday, October 5th.  Registration can be done online at www.larchmontscarecrowfestival.org or by picking up an entry form at the library.

The Annual Scarecrow Festival is a unique event in which participants purchase a metal frame on which to create their scarecrow. In addition to a nominal registration fee ($5 for members of the Friends of the Larchmont Public Library and $10 for non-members), the scarecrow frame costs $20.

Once each participant has their frame, the real fun begins…DECORATING! The Friends of the Larchmont Public Library have set aside two days to pick up the frame and decorate: Saturday, October 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Friday, October 18, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. There will be materials and craft supplies available for those participating to use.

The completed scarecrows will be displayed on the front lawn of the library from Saturday, October 19 through Saturday, October 26.
