Are you ready to celebrate but haven't made plans yet for New Year's Eve?
No problem. Here's a look at some of the nearby happenings to ring in 2012.
The party granddaddy of them all in Westchester continues to be the New Year’s Eve celebration taking place in White Plains.
You can spend the time with a crowd of revelers during the annual New Year’s Eve Family Spectacular in downtown White Plains. The festivities begin at 10:30 p.m. on Main Street, between Court Street and Renaissance Square.
The free outdoor event will feature music, a DJ, crowd countdown, an illuminated
ball drop and a midnight fireworks display by the Zambelli Company. In addition, for the 8th year, Heineken USA will sponsor the “New Year Safe Ride Program” which is designed to help residents 21 years and older, arrive home safely from their New Year’s Eve celebrations. Look for the “New Year Safe Ride” stand on the corner of East Post Road and Mamaroneck Avenue from 11 p.m.-3 a.m.

If you would like to get the party started early, at 6 p.m. in Rye, you can ring in the New Year with acclaimed singer, songwriter and woodwind player Paula Atherton in at La Panetiere. Dinner with wine will be served. Price is $110 - $145.
At J.C. Fogarty’s, don’t miss “The Big New Years Eve Show” with the debut of the Kelty Twins. Come see the boys play their special brand of stripped-down classic rock, acoustic, and pop, while dining on culinary treats. Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Tuckahoe’s Depot Square from 10:30 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. Countdown to midnight and watch the ball drop in NYC’s Time Square on two large plasma screens in heated tents. Confetti, hats and noise-makers will be available. Beginning at 11 p.m. and adding to the festivities will be the band T-Bone, which will entertain the crowd with music and song. The event is being sponsored by The Generoso Pope Foundation.
Celebrate the beginning of a new year with your friends and family and let Sonora Restaurant treat you to an unforgettable evening, with a dazzling $65 prix-fixe menu. There will be a midnight champagne toast, dancing and live entertainment. A la carte 5 p.m. -7:30 pm. From 8 p.m. to midnight, only the New Years Eve menu will be offered.
Count it down in the comfort of your own home and have a fun filled time and a commute home that can’t be beat. Add to the festivities by having a little bubbly, snacks and a noise maker or two.
Dick Clark and Ryan Seacreast
Perhaps the biggest party of them all will be happening in your own television viewing room.
Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest will present the 40th annual show on ABC, starting at 10 p.m. Lady Gaga will be the featured performer.
The perennial favorite always tops the charts in terms of viewers and is even manages to be the main event at most parties.
MTV is giving Clark and Seacreast a run for their views as when the station presents MTV’s New Years Eve Bash 2012 at 11 p.m. Demi Lovato will be performing.
Join Carson Daly and anchor Brian Williams, as they host NBC’s “New Year’s With Carson Daly” at 10 p.m. on channel 4. Recording artist Drake will perform.
And after all of the fun, the next day go serene. Walk in the New Year with an invigorating New Year’s Day walk along the Hudson River shoreline at Rockwood Hall State Park on Kendal Way in Sleepy Hollow.
