Museum Pass Program at Larchmont Public Library

There are 12 museums in Westchester, Connecticut and New York City that Larchmont Public Library cardholders can access for free or a discounted rate.

Mamaroneck is not the only library in these parts with a generous museum pass program.

Another benefit of being a cardholder is the ability to check out the following museums for free (or discounted) in NYC, Connecticut and Westchester: Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, American Museum of Natural History, Bruce Museum, Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, Frick Collection, Guggenheim (can be used at both the Bruce and Brooklyn Museums as well), Katonah Museum of Art, Museum of the City of New York, Neuberger Museum of Art, Paley Center for the Media and the Stepping Stones Museum.

The passes are funded by the Friends of the Larchmont Public Library, a not-for-profit organization that pays for additional community education programs associated with the Library.

Reservations can be made online at the Library’s website here, and a registered cardholder can pick up the pass in person at the Reference Desk.  The pass must be returned back to the Reference Desk, not simply left in the book drop, according to the Library's website. One pass per family; please make your reservation for the day you'd like to visit the museum and the system will automatically block out the day before and after, giving you a day to pick-up and return.

But don’t be late with returning your pass.  There will be a hefty $10 per day late fee ($5 more than Mamaroneck's fine) and, after five days, you could be charged up to $500 for replacement of the lost pass, plus a $25 late fee.
