Members of the Sound Shore St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee celebrated the naming of the 2013 Grand Marshal, James P. Hynes, at a sash presentation ceremony held at Orienta Beach Club on Saturday, Jan. 12.
In addition to organizing the parade, the Committee also provides college scholarships to young people who have demonstrated both academic ability and a commitment to promoting Irish culture.
Hynes will lead the Second Annual Sound Shore St. Patrick's Day Parade, serving the communities of Mamaroneck, Rye, New Rochelle, Larchmont, Port Chester and Harrison on St. Patrick's Day, Sunday, March 17, 2013 on Mamaroneck Avenue.
