Mamaroneck Library Budget Passes, New Trustees Elected

The results of the Mamaroneck Public Library budget were announced last night.

Mamaroneck residents voted yesterday in favor of the Mamaroneck Public Library's budget, 238 to 92, said Library Director Susan Riley.

The $2.75 million budget is a 1.1 increase from the previous year, and will cost the average Village of Mamaroneck taxpayer an additional $16.20 per year.

Also, Library Board of Trustees President Christine Love was reelected to her third term and John Brenkovich and Bob Fisher were elected as new trustees. Their terms of office will begin on June 1, 2013.

“The overwhelming support of the Library by the community is so gratifying. The staff and Board work hard to provide exciting new programs and lots of materials of high interest for area residents.  It’s so wonderful to know that the village appreciates the value of the Library," said Love in a statement sent out by the Library.
