3-5 Inches of Snow Could Fall on the Region

Winter weather could hamper the morning commute.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Putnam, Rockland and Westchester communities for 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 3

Visibility could be 1/2 mile or less during periods of heavy snowfall. The NWS warns motorists to be wary of slippery roads.

Temperatures will be in the low 30s, winds from 10-15 mph and up to 5 inches of snow could accumulate. The snow could be wet enough to bring tree limbs down and cause power outages, the NWS said.
