As LPPH Chair, Legislator Harckham is directing an ambitious review of the SPI’s Playland Improvement Plan (PIP). Although SPI announced last month that it was withdrawing from the BOL review process, the not-for-profit organization has since reversed its decision after the Astorino Administration offered to cover any legal fees incurred by SPI. On the agenda for tomorrow’s BOL committee meeting is a discussion of SPI’s indemnification, proposed parkland alienation, structuring of the Asset Management Agreement with SPI, leasing of County property, Playland Commission oversight responsibilities, and legal rights of municipalities in conjunction with the PIP.
