Mamaroneck FBLA attends SDM

Mamaroneck FBLA recently attended the annual Spring District Meeting at Lakeland high school, on Wednesday, February 12th. The chapter members who attended listened to Key Note Speaker Charles Garcia, who worked with financial leaders such as Mike Bloomberg, spoke at the opening of the event about the importance of communication in business. By interacting directly with the audience he demonstrated this message in a clear and concise manner.

There were also performance and written competitions, and the top two winners here would precede onto the state level. Members did fantastic, with Noah Haber coming in first place in impromptu speaking, Liam Hanley placed second in Job Interview, and Sarah Noches came placed second in Public Speaking, and Tyler Derby, Paul Morange, Sam McGrath, Adam Nissinoff, Amanda Lai, and Gillian Sweeny moving on to States for Parliamentary Procedure.

SDM was a great event that was fun and informative, and every member of FBLA should attend if they can. I have full confidence that next year’s Spring District Meeting will be just as great!
