Larchmont Children “Shake Their Chillies Out” With Armelle Gloaguen

On an otherwise dark and gloomy Friday, February 21st, nearly 200 area children packed the Larchmont Village Center to “Shake Their Chillies Out” with multi-talented Armelle Gloaguen and her band. The winter chill stood no chance as Armelle and her band-mates led the children through song after song, some quite familiar and some completely new. Variety was the order of the day as she performed a global-array of hot tunes that engage all ages.

Armelle Gloaguen is the founder of Armelle’s language Studio in Larchmont, New York. She is an award-winning artist and educator, an experienced teacher and accomplished singer, song writer and guitarist.  Armelle created the "Learn French/Spanish Through Music" technique in 1998 and has successfully taught foreign language with this unique methodology.  Armelle's teaching process also includes teaching music through discovery, exploring the rich diversity of world music including rhythms, instruments and songs from other cultures.
