Rosh Hashana, Seashells and Sunny Skies

Here are a few things you need to know for Wednesday, September 4, 2013.

1. Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year, begins the evening of Wednesday, Sept. 4.

2. Looking for something to do with all the beautiful seashells you collected this summer? Bring your small shells, sea glass and pebbles to the Larchmont Public Library at 3 p.m. Wednesday and make a keepsake of your very own. Please register by calling 914-834-2281. This free activity is for ages 5 and up. The library is at 121 Larchmont Ave.

3. You can expect sunny skies Wednesday, with a high near 82, according to the National Weather Service. Overnight, it will be mostly clear with a low around 64.
