Primary Day, Junior League and Cloudy to Mostly Sunny

Here are some of the things you need to know for Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2013.

1. Primary elections will be held Tuesday, Sept. 10. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Rye city Councilwoman Catherine Parker faces off against former Mamaroneck village Trustee Tom Murphy on the Democratic line for a primary to replace Westchester County Legislator Judy Myers in District 7, which covers Larchmont and Mamaroneck.

2. The Junior League of Westchester on the Sound is holding new member information sessions. Looking for a way to give back to your community? A way to meet like-minded women in our Sound Shore community? Come learn more about joining the Junior League of Westchester on the Sound at our information sessions at 7 p.m. Tuesday. It will be at the Mamaroneck Beach & Yacht Club, 555 South Barry Ave. in Mamaroneck.

3. According to the National Weather Service, Wednesday will start off cloudy and will turn mostly sunny. The high will be near 84. Overnight, it will be partly cloudy, with a low around 73.
