Fighting Terrorism, Open Rehearsals and Wind Chill Temps

Here are a few things you should know for Tuesday, January 28, 2014.

• Beth El Synagogue Center Israel Affairs Committee & Men's Club and the New Rochelle Jewish Coalition is sponsoring a talk by Nitsana Darshan-Leitner, Founder and Director of Shurat HaDin, the Israeli Law Center that uses civil law suits to fight terrorists and their sponsors and recovers multi-million dollar verdicts on behalf of their client victims. The event is at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Beth El Synagogue, 1324 North Ave. in New Rochelle. • The Westchester Chorale is holding open rehearsals at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Larchmont Avenue Church, 60 Forest Park Ave. in Larchmont. Music will include Gabriel Fauré's Requiem and Memorial Service for the Departed by 
Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco for the May 18, 2014 concert. Details can be found here.

• The forecast for Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service, calls for partly sunny skies with a high near 21. The wind chill could be as low as minus 2. Overnight, it will be cloudy, with a low around 14. There could be flurries after 1 a.m.
