ELS, Adopted Kids and Snow Possibility

Here is some of what you need to know for Tuesday, November 12, 2013.

1. Representatives from Forever Families through Adoption are offering a program for school age adoptees at the Port Chester-Rye Brook Public Library at 4 p.m. Tuesday, November 12. Children will participate in fun and dynamic activities while getting to know other children who have been through the adoption process. Group sessions will be led by Anna Sandbank, LCSW, a social worker and Program Director at Forever Families through Adoption. The library is located at 1 Haseco Ave. in Port Chester. 2. Intermediate speakers of English can improve their English speaking and comprehension abilities by participating in this free series of interactive sessions with Janice Towers, a certified teacher of English as a second language. Registration is required. The series takes place on Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Village Center behind the Larchmont Public Library, 121 Larchmont Ave.

3. Looks like we have our first chance for snow for the season. The National Weather Service is calling for snow showers Tuesday before 9 a.m. Amounts will be less than half an inch. The high will be hear 42. Overnight, it will be mostly clear with a low aroudn 26.
