Bullyeye Glass, Appetizers and Possibly Stormy Weather

Here are a few things you need to know for Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013.

1. The Mamaroneck Artist Guild (MAG) will host a talk and information meeting with representatives of Oregon-based manufacturer of glass for art and architecture, Bullseye Glass, at the Gallery at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12. The gallery is located at 126 Larchmont Ave. in Larchmont.

2. Learn how to create three healthy appetizers using what is in season now. Daryl will discuss the nutrients in each recipe, and answer your questions about food, nutrition and healthy eating. Recipes will be provided. The free session will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Greenburgh Public Library, 300 Tarrytown Rd., Elmsford.

3. For Thursday, the National Weather Service is calling for a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m. Otherwise, it will be partly sunny with a high near 87. For Thursday night, there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7 p.m., a likelihood of them between 7 p.m. and 3 a.m. and then a chance after 3 a.m. The low will be around 66.
