Blood Drive, Wine Class and Obamacare

1. Give blood and help save lives. There will be a blood drive Wednesday, November 6 from 1 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Mamaroneck Public Library, 136 Prospect Ave. Call the Red Cross at 1-800-REDCROSS or the Mamaroneck Public Library at 914-698-1250.

2. Want to learn how to taste wine? AOC Fine Wines, 168 Huguenot St. in New Rochelle is having a Wine Class  at 6 p.m. Wednesday, November 6. You will educate your palate and expose it to aromas and flavors of different wines. Wine Club members can attend the class for free. Otherwise, admission is $50, but you get two or three bottles of AOC's Wine of the Month. Call 914-355-2690.

3. The warming trend continues Wednesday with partly sunny skies and a high near 61, according to the National Weather Service. Overnight, it will be mostly cloudy with a low around 53. There will be a 30 percent chance of showers after 4 a.m.
