 l share her vision of a sustainable local lifestyle on Thursday\, Februa
 ry 9 at 7 p.m. in Reisinger Concert Hall&nbsp\; on the Sarah Lawrence Co
 llege campus.\nWilliams will discuss how &ldquo\;positive proximity&rdqu
 o\; can reduce the impact on the environment as well as her views on the
  high cost of consumption. She will also perform some of her songs into 
 which she has incorporated her passion for the environment.\n&nbsp\;\nOn
 e of the most lauded singer-songwriters of her generation\, Dar Williams
  has been captivating audiences with her folk-pop songwriting since the 
 early '90s. She has toured with such distinguished artists as Joan Baez\
 , Patty Griffin\, Ani DiFranco\, and Shawn Colvin\, and recently became 
 a regular contributor to the Huffington Post's Green Blog. A dedicated e
 nvironmentalist\, Williams toured throughout the northeast visiting chil
 dren's camps and planting bee gardens in summer 2011.\n&nbsp\;\nWilliams
  is set to release her ninth studio album\, In The Time Of Gods\, which 
 includes the songs &ldquo\;This Earth\,&rdquo\; and &ldquo\;The Light An
 d The Sea&rdquo\; in April.\n&nbsp\;\nThis event is presented by the Wes
