Mamaroneck's Storm Recovery Update
Con Edison chips away at outages, but some 60,000 customers are still without power in Westchester.
Some 61,000 customers in Westchester remained without power late yesterday as utility crews tackled the widespread storm damage.
The largest affected areas in Mamaroneck include Harbor Heights and Orienta.
The Village of Mamaroneck had not established any emergency shelters by yesterday afternoon, but was set to do so if residents needed it.
Con Ed reports power should be restored system-wide by the end of the day on Thursday. However, repairs that will restore power to the largest numer of people will be addressed on a priority basis.
Con Ed has established dry ice and water distribution centers at Saxon Woods Park and New Rochelle City Hall. The hours of operation for each facility are 12-8 p.m.
For further information on when power may be restored, please call 1-800-75-ConEd (1-800-752-6633).
If you know of any residents who may require special needs assistance, please call the Mamaroneck Police Department at 914-722-1122.
