Larchmont Trustee Appointed to Town of Mamaroneck Board

Jaine Elkind Eney will be vacating a seat on the Larchmont Board of Trustees.

The Town of Mamaroneck has appointed a person that’s no stranger to local politics to fill the board seat vacated by current Town Supervisor ; Larchmont Trustee Jaine Elkind Eney.

Current Larchmont board members Lorraine Walsh and John Komar extended their thanks to Elkind Eney for her efforts to improve the Larchmont business district, after the announcement at Monday night’s Larchmont board meeting that she would be resigning from her position on the board.

Despite her new appointment, Elkind Eney remained confident that the village and town’s overlap and proximity would mean that she will remain in close contact with her former colleagues.

“Good luck and I’ll forward to seeing you all the time,” she said optimistically.

Mandell also appointed Trustee Komar as Deputy Mayor, which was supported unanimously by the board.
